Youtube Download Free is a tool which gives you the ability to download videos from streaming video sites. You can download videos from Youtube, Google Videos, Metacafe, Spike and more in FLV, AVI, MOV, MPG or WMV formats.

Yes. It is absolutely free.

How can I download Videos?

• Copy the URL of the video from your browsers address bar
• Paste it in the green box above and click "download" button
• When your download link is generated just click on it to and your download will begin
• Some of the providers (like Youtube) do not provide you with the real name of the video file. So you will have to rename the file before or after saving. You’ll have to change the extension to FLV too.

How can I watch the videos that I have downloaded

When you download a video from Google, Youtube, Spike, Metacafe or any other provider, the video file will be in one of FLV, AVI, MPG, MOV or WMV formats depending on the site you're downloading the videos from. If you can't see the video after you double click on the file you downloaded (and renamed if necessary), you may have to download a media player or a codec pack. You can watch the videos with FLV Player

How can I rename files ?

In Windows, you can rename a file by right clicking it and selecting Renamefrom the menu. For some files, you will have to rename the file extension too. If you do not see the fileextensions (i.e. instead of 'video.flv' only 'video'), go to Tools->Folder options in My Computer,switch to the View tab and uncheck Hide file extensions for known file types.

How can I convert my videos to AVI, MPG or WMV formats ?

After you download the FLV file (Videos from Youtube and Google Videos are always in FLV format) you first need to convert it to AVI using the Riva FLV Encoder. Download and install Riva, then select your FLV file as 'input file'. You will notice that Riva puts the name of the output file automatically. Change the extension of the output file from AVI to FLV in the output file box, hit encode, and you have your AVI file. After converting the FLV to AVI, you can convert the AVI to any format with WinAVI Video Converter or if you know all about codecs and encoding, you can use Virtual DUB instead.

What is a streaming video ?

A streaming video is a video file located on a remote server, and streamed to you by that server. Streaming videos can not be normally downloaded as files because they are hidden behind the server's stream player.

Which video formats can I download ?

You can download videos in FLV, AVI, MOV, MPG or WMV formats depending on the video provider. You can convert these formats between each other using a video format conversion program.
